Hi I’m Lucy, the owner behind Snuggle Bug Knits. I’m a mum to three wonderful children, Gracie, Theo and Evelyn - alongside my partner Conor. I create hand embroidered keepsakes for your little ones, helping make their special moments even more memorable and pieces to treasure for years to come. 

The name Snuggle Bug Knits comes from a rhyme my mum would sing to us growing up and then to her grandchildren: “Snuggly Buggly Boo, I love you.” When I had my third child, Evelyn, it stuck I called her my snuggle bug and the name became the heart of my little business.

I started this journey after seeing the popularity of hand embroidered baby clothing and was then inspired to create my own for Evelyn. I fell in love with the process and soon friends and family were asking for pieces of their own. That’s how Snuggle Bug Knits was born. Even though I’ve only been doing this for a little over a year, I absolutely adore it.

Some of my collections are inspired by current trends, while others draw from my own childhood and my children. As a little girl, my mum and gran would take me and my sister on walks to look for fairy houses among mushrooms giving me the inspiration for my wildflower collection and we’d often explore tiny craft shops and small businesses hunting for trinkets. I’ve always loved discovering the beauty in handmade things, and now I get to do the same when creating pieces for your little ones.

I love being able to create special, personalised keepsakes for your children and be a small part of their most magical moments.
